Jill
Jill had a great Christmas in Kitchener-Waterloo. She prepared her first Christmas dinner on her own (Brava Chef Jill!) and had a fantastic New Year’s Celebration in Toronto! She is planning a visit home to Northern Ontario soon to her family.
Jenna
Jenna spent some quality time with her family and was thrilled that her aunt from New Zealand came to visit. We didn’t get details on her thoughts of the rain-snow-freezing rain-cold series of events were compared to lovely New Zealand. Possibly she is too polite to complain! Currently Jenna is looking into plans for a summer cruise, destinations still to be determined. Lucky duck!
Tanya
Tanya had very exciting holidays. She spent quality time with her family. They survived power outages while skating (I assume at night otherwise hopefully the daylight may have helped if it had occurred at any other time!) and got to see a football field covered in crows-live ones (she is not superstitious luckily). She is currently training for a 5 km running event in March and a 10km one in May. This summer she is planning a Duatholon (running and bicycling) but the cycling for outdoor training will have to wait for better road conditions! Great Job Tanya!
Groomer Jen
Groomer Jen had a great holiday time with her family and her Poodles. She is looking forward to more Poodle Club events, is busy designing and sewing winter coats for pets as well as the pet grooming. She will be starting her dog Cheeky (Canadian Champion and well on her way for American Champion)on her first breeding this summer. Lots to plan for!
Shannon
Shannon took some true holiday time off from work (well deserved) between Christmas and New Years. She kept very busy during the holiday and looking forward to more house renovations! Her painting of the bathroom in November eventually included the three dogs and their redesigning the paw painting in the house as well! She is hoping for a little less help from the kids for the next renovation event.
Caroline
Caroline had a great Christmas. She was able to spend time with husband, kids and grandchildren. They also were able to have a terrific New Year’s Celebration. She has been planning for 2 years her dream cruise for 2011. Carry on!
Jen
Jen was very busy over the holiday with family and helping her friends with petsitting while they were away. She is looking forward to her New Year’s resolution of restarting her exercise routine and planning her 2010 vacation. Last year was an East Coast tour, what will be this year’s fun for the summer holidays?
Trishia
Trishia had terrific holidays with her family. She is busy with their latest new addition to their family Chevy who is officially owned by her fiancé. He is an 8 week old very cute puppy but will definitely outweigh Kilkenny in about another 2 weeks. Kilkenny is holding his own and knows he is big brother and holds his own with Chevy. The cats currently have no official comment on their new brother.... She definitely has her hands full with her furry family for 2010!
Kim
Kim was very busy helping at the clinic and clearing the new snow falls and taking care of the ice asap as it occurred for everyone’s safety. He had a great time with the kids, they miraculously slept in until 8:30 on Christmas morning, so Santa was able to get some sleep for once. The milk and cookies didn’t all disappear, as there were many big dinner gathering throughout the holidays and Santa was already too full! He was very excited about school starting again on January 4th. I think he viewed that as his reward for the start of 2010 and more of a holiday than the previous two weeks of martyrdom with the kids!
Dr. St-Pierre
Dr. St-Pierre took advantage of the holidays to spend some terrific time with her family. Work has been very busy so the few extra days off were greatly appreciated. The pets are doing great. Buddy her 7 year old cat is having limping problems and she is currently being looked into and starting him again on his 7th weight loss program, his Radiographs show healthy joints so any injuries to those joints (his left shoulder and left elbow) are probably worsened by his weight. It is currently limiting his counter surfing but he will have to read over the recommendations for joint mobility month for January and start helping to help himself for his health and not his weight with food. The children are handicapping her efforts by feeling sorry for any meows but a stern discussion will be needed since he has gained officially 0.62kg in 2 months in spite of the previous family discussion in October 2009. We need stronger guidelines for Mr. Buddy and the family assistance for 2010! Unison and Cooperation are the new words!
