About

We believe that when it comes to animal healthcare, prevention is always the best medicine. We understand that one of the biggest challenges of pet ownership is providing the care you want on a budget.

We are proud to offer Preventative Wellness Plans for every stage of your pet’s life. This is a great way for pet owners to provide the level of care they want for their furry family member without breaking the bank.

Preventative Wellness Plans are designed to cover all the routine services we recommend for your
pet during that year at a discounted price. All wellness plans include unlimited office visits for the year, as well as discounts on other services such as boarding, and grooming.

Adults

Our adult plan includes your pet’s annual vaccination and physical examination during which your pet’s eyes, ears, skin, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal and skeletal system are examined for any abnormalities.

We also include a yearly fecal check for intestinal parasites, and deworming if needed with the
exception of tapeworm treatment.

Wellness blood screen is checked for liver, and kidney function as well as blood glucose and a
complete blood count.

For dogs, we test yearly for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and offer a discount on your
preventative medication.

For cats, we test for Feline Leukemia/FIV as well as heartworm and offer a discount on your
flea/heartworm prevention.

Your pet gets the added bonus of coming in half way through the year to have another complete
physical examination as well as a special eye test to check the pressure in the eyes. Pets age at a
different rate than humans and we can detect small changes when we see them in more frequently.

Seniors

Would you believe that for most pets by the time they reach 7 years of age, we consider them a
“senior”?

Our senior plans include all the same preventative measures as the adult plans, with a few added
tests.

The wellness blood screen we run is more comprehensive, and includes a thyroid test. Both cats
and dogs can have problems when their thyroid stops functioning.

We also include a urinalysis, which can show early signs of diabetes or kidney problems. Early
diagnosis and appropriate treatments can result in your companion living a longer, healthier life.

We realize that are certain things that come with age, including heart disease which is why we offer a discount on radiographs or ECG if needed.

Puppy

Our “first year” plans helps to take the worry out of being a new pet parent.

The plan includes the full series of vaccinations, including physical examinations at each visit.

Intestinal parasites tend to be a common problem with new puppies/kittens. Did you know that there
is a chance your pet was infected before it was even born? We recommend a fecal examination,
along with preventative deworming until your pet is 6 months of age, which are all included in the
plan.

Your pet’s spay or neuter is included, along with the placement of a microchip for identification.

When your pet is ready for surgery, we will run pre-operative blood screen to ensure the health of
your pet, as well as providing IV fluids during surgery. Your pet is monitored with electronic
monitoring equipment as well as a veterinary technician trained in anaesthesia.
